About The Position

The Loader Operator operates heavy equipment safely and appropriately, and cleans, maintains, and secures equipment in accordance with applicable policies, procedures, and operator manuals. The role uses a front-end loader to move bulk materials between storage areas, feed conveyors and hoppers, and load trucks or railcars. It also supports raw-material quality and quantity, routine plant and equipment upkeep, regulatory compliance, and safe plant operations.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to read, write, and speak English.

Responsibilities

Operate a front-end loader to lift and transport bulk materials to and from storage areas, feed conveyors and hoppers, and load trucks or railcars.
Operate the loader using its engine, gears, pedals, steering wheel, and controls to scoop, lift, transport, and dump bulk materials.
Verify the amount of aggregate in storage bins and fill hoppers to maintain adequate quantities and quality of raw materials.
Perform routine loader maintenance, including lubricating, fueling, and cleaning.
Help ensure raw materials meet established quality and quantity standards.
Meet assigned performance indicators.
Work to improve the assigned plant and surrounding area.
Follow procedures to ensure the plant complies with state, federal, and local regulations and requirements.
Participate in ongoing minor maintenance and visual evaluations of plant and equipment.
Coordinate with the plant superintendent, batch person, and other personnel to resolve problems, provide immediate feedback, and recommend performance improvements.
May haul cement and/or additives from storage areas in bulk or bags.
Follow CEMEX, OSHA, and MSHA rules and regulations, wear proper safety equipment, and meet or exceed company safety standards.
Perform other job responsibilities as assigned by management.
