Nice To Haves

Prior experience in a rendering facility or production environment preferred.
Knowledge of mechanical rendering and/or process equipment.
Good mechanical aptitude and equipment troubleshooting; skilled in general mechanics and safe operation of equipment.
Ability to deal with minor problems involving equipment or various situations.
Ability to work nights and/or weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

General Plant Labor including housekeeping, hosing down floors, mopping, sweeping, emptying trash, and picking up trash.
Shovel and clean up spills in the plant.
Keep barrels emptied of trash and product.
Clean equipment from top to bottom.
Help unstop screw conveyors.
Cut plastic and product off of screw conveyors.
Keep floor drains cleaned out and covers on drains.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Oversee the rendering process from raw material bin to finished goods storage.
