About The Position

The Loader Operator operates heavy equipment safely and appropriately, and cleans, maintains, and secures equipment according to applicable policies, procedures, and operator manuals. The role uses a front-end loader to move bulk materials between storage areas, feed conveyors and hoppers, and load trucks or railcars. The operator also monitors aggregate quantities, helps maintain raw-material quality and supply, performs routine and minor maintenance, and supports plant safety, compliance, and operational performance.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Able to read, write, and speak English.
Able to perform job functions involving pushing, turning, and/or pulling controls.
Able to meet the physical requirements of the role, including walking, sitting, lifting, pushing, pulling, and climbing, and exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally.

Responsibilities

Operate a front-end loader to lift and transport bulk materials to and from storage areas, feed conveyors and hoppers, and load trucks or railcars.
Operate loader controls to scoop, lift, transport, and dump bulk materials.
Verify the amount of aggregate in storage bins and fill hoppers to maintain adequate quantities and quality of raw materials.
Perform routine loader maintenance, including lubricating, fueling, and cleaning.
Help ensure the quality and quantity of raw materials meet established standards.
Meet assigned performance indicators and work toward improving the assigned plant and surrounding area.
Follow procedures to ensure the plant complies with state, federal, and local regulations and requirements.
Participate in minor maintenance and visual evaluations of the plant and equipment.
Confer with the plant superintendent, batch person, and other personnel to resolve problems, provide feedback, and recommend performance improvements.
Haul cement and/or additives from storage areas in bulk or bags as needed.
Follow CEMEX, OSHA, and MSHA rules and regulations, wear proper safety equipment, and meet or exceed company safety standards.
Perform other job responsibilities as assigned by management.
