About The Position

This role involves operating a lattice boom crane, focusing on the safe and efficient movement of loads. The operator is responsible for observing load hook-ups, ensuring safety, and controlling crane movements via various communication methods. Responsibilities also include maintaining the crane, identifying and reporting defects, and assisting with material handling and crane assembly/disassembly. A strong emphasis is placed on adhering to all safety procedures.

Requirements

• Minimum of 48 months industrial construction experience.

Responsibilities

• Observes load hook up and determines safety of load.
• Manipulates crane control to regulate speed and direction of crane and hoist movement according to written, verbal, or signal instructions.
• Cleans and maintains crane and hoisting mechanism.
• Inspects crane for defective parts and notifies the supervisor of the defects or malfunctions.
• Loads, transports, and unloads materials, tools, equipment, and supplies.
• Assists in lifting, positioning, and securing of materials and work pieces during installation.
• Performs minor maintenance or cleaning activities of tools and equipment.
• Safely operate crane, hoist mechanism, tools and materials.
• Assists in assembly and disassembly of cranes.
• Plans and coordinates crane movement & set-up.
• Adheres to all safety procedures.
