About The Position

Maryland Environmental Service has an opening for an entry level Operator-In-Training (OIT) to work at our Dundalk Marine Terminal facility located in Baltimore, MD. The OIT apprenticeship is a 3-year program that includes on the job training, an independent study program, and professional in-house mentoring and coaching. Starting OIT salary is $39,748.80, with excellent benefits. During the 3-year period, there will be periodic pay raises based on motivation and performance. Successful graduates of the program will be offered Operator positions with MES. The Dundalk Marine Terminal is a restricted and secure site, you will be required to obtain your Transportation Worker's Identification Credential, (TWIC) which will require a federal background check through TSA. Some MES facilities provide services 365 days a year, which might mean that you could be required to work in varying weather conditions, on weekends and holidays, or be called to work during emergency situations.

Requirements

• HS Diploma or GED
• Driver's license with less than 5 points
• Ability to lift 50lbs
• Enjoy working outdoors
• Care about your future
• Mechanically inclined
• Good, basic math skills
• Currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis
