About The Position

Under moderate supervision, this role operates machinery and inspects machined components using precision measuring equipment. The position involves keeping accurate production records and maintenance logs, adhering to site-specific quality systems and processes, and identifying/recording scrap, maintenance requests, and production documents. The operator will use simple precision measuring equipment to ensure components meet engineering specifications and will understand and execute basic operations and tasks. The role requires the ability to follow directions, demonstrate machining/mechanical aptitude, and possess an aptitude to learn new responsibilities and tasks. There is potential to train others on operational and/or documentation procedures. The operator will also operate simple manufacturing equipment, identify and report safety concerns, production issues, and documentation errors, and align activities with company initiatives. Assisting in the execution of continuous improvement projects and reporting business or behavioral concerns timely and appropriately are also key aspects of the role. Effective collaboration with peers, functional departments, and visitors is expected, as is the ability to listen and act appropriately regarding constructive feedback and to ask questions and seek direction from leaders, trainers, and peers. Other tasks may be assigned.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Requires 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Must possess excellent organization and communication skills.
