Graham Packaging Company is looking for an Operator II for the 3rd shift (10:48pm- 7:00am) in Bradenton, FL. The Operator is responsible for operating a given number of plastic blow molding machines, including in-line equipment, and making necessary adjustments or minor repairs to ensure the safe, efficient, and high-quality production of containers. The role involves understanding and enforcing safety, health, quality GMP, and Company policies. Operators participate in continuous quality improvement projects, perform mold/insert/color changes, and basic processing of injection and/or blow molding machines to improve efficiency and reduce scrap. They may also perform Utility position tasks during slow periods, monitor resin and material handling systems, conduct frequent quality checks, assist with mechanical repairs, perform preventative maintenance, and maintain a clean and safe work area. Additionally, Operators complete required documentation, communicate with supervisors, verify material usage, perform minor troubleshooting, operate equipment to minimize waste, identify regrind and chunk, communicate processing information to the next shift, and assist in training new Operators. Limited travel may be required.
