About The Position

This position works out of our St. Paul, MN location in the Abbott Vascular Devices division. The Operator II will assemble medical device products with precision and accuracy. They will work within a cleanroom following strict SOPs, GMP, and FDA guidelines. This role requires the utilization of microscopes regularly for inspection and assembly, and the ability to inspect, test, package, and box products as needed. Flexibility is required as the role involves rotating and cross-training across various workstations. The Operator II must follow detailed rules, guidelines, and quality standards, stand for extended periods, lift up to 25 lbs, report to work on time, adhere to the assigned shift schedule, and use tools such as electrical torque drivers and screwdrivers. Completion of multi-week training across departments is also required.

Requirements

  • 1–3 years’ experience in a cleanroom environment
  • Previous experience using microscopes
  • Ability to speak, read, and write English
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Must gown up daily: hair net, beard net (if applicable), shoe covers, safety glasses
  • Ability to stand for long periods
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. without issue
  • Reliability and punctuality
  • Flexibility to work and train in multiple departments
  • Ability to learn processes and follow detailed instructions
  • Willingness to adapt to different workstations (no inflexibility)

Nice To Haves

  • Medical device assembly experience preferred
  • Understanding of SOPs, FDA, and GMP guidelines preferred
