About The Position

The Operator II performs daily warehouse distribution tasks, including receiving, shipping, assembly, material handling, and other distribution center work as assigned. The role coordinates with teammates and assigned leaders to help the distribution center meet or exceed company goals for inventory control, shipping, receiving, and assembly. Operators are assigned tasks, review the daily workload, and ensure it is completed. The role requires choosing safe work practices and using the information and tools necessary to carry out the workload, with flexibility to support any distribution warehouse operation as needed.

This is a full-time position with an estimated schedule of approximately 30–40 hours per week; actual hours may vary according to business needs. The compensation target is $21.75.

Requirements

• Understanding of quality expectations.
• Ability to use technology-related equipment, including mobile scanners, radios, tablets, and computers.
• Ability to pass a drug test and obtain certification to operate PIT equipment used in the distribution center.
• Ability to pass any drug tests and certification to operate all PIT and other distribution center equipment.
• Outstanding communication skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Teamwork and willingness to support coworkers while working safely.
• Strong decision-making skills and a results-driven approach.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily warehouse tasks, including picking, packing, kitting materials, receiving, inventory control, operating a forklift, and preparing products for use throughout the facility.
• Ensure required materials are accounted for and ready for upcoming orders.
• Work with the supervisor to maintain a lean, efficient workflow and meet schedules.
• Coordinate with the team and assigned leaders to support distribution center goals for inventory control, shipping, receiving, and assembly.
• Review assigned daily workload and ensure it is completed.
• Contribute to the team by accomplishing related tasks as needed.
• Maintain Purple’s quality standards.
• Choose safe work practices and use necessary information and tools.
• Support any distribution warehouse operation as assigned.
• Operate a pallet stretch-wrapping machine.
