About The Position

The Operator II plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient and safe operation of machinery and equipment within our production or processing environment. This position requires a thorough understanding of operational procedures and the ability to monitor, adjust, and troubleshoot equipment to maintain optimal performance. The Operator II is responsible for adhering to safety protocols and quality standards to minimize downtime and ensure product consistency. This role involves collaboration with maintenance and quality teams to identify and resolve operational issues promptly. Ultimately, the Operator II contributes to the overall productivity and success of the facility by maintaining smooth and reliable operations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience operating industrial machinery or equipment in a manufacturing or processing environment.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to follow detailed operational procedures.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to safety and quality.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively report issues and collaborate with team members.

Nice To Haves

  • Certification or training related to equipment operation or industrial safety.
  • Experience with computerized control systems or PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers).
  • Familiarity with quality management systems and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Ability to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, or overtime as needed.
  • Prior experience in a similar Operator II or advanced operator role.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and monitor machinery and equipment according to established procedures and safety guidelines.
  • Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure equipment is functioning properly.
  • Identify and troubleshoot operational issues, making adjustments or escalating to maintenance as necessary.
  • Maintain accurate logs and records of operational data, incidents, and maintenance activities.
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to optimize production processes and ensure compliance with quality standards.
