About The Position

The LA Metro Operator II works Monday - Friday 6:00am - 2:00pm and is responsible for completion of tasks such as tapping cards at the MPOS station, printing cards and carriers, merging, inserting, and verifying. The Operator follows a daily schedule for jobs to be initialized and verified. The Operator must be able to understand the Request for Tap forms and manually TAP cards by operating the MPOS station. The operator will update the paperwork, logs, and board to show job status. The operator will also be responsible to fold and insert pin and card carriers, merge cards to carriers, meter mail, batch, and verify shipments in Personalization as needed. The position requires close attention to detail, a strong sense of urgency, a solid customer focus, and a continuous improvement mindset.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma
  • Mathematical ability required
  • Attention to detail and hand-eye coordination

Nice To Haves

  • post-secondary education is preferred
  • Greater than 6 months experience in card personalization is highly preferred
  • Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel is preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Operate the initialization terminal, paying close attention to the prompts to work efficiently
  • Responsible for selection of the correct initialization job from the station
  • Must select the correct cardstock for completion of the initialization job
  • Accuracy for all quality checks and to ensure conformance to company standards
  • Maintain work area in a clean and orderly condition at all times
  • Adhere to all safety regulations with regard to company policies and legal regulations
  • Produce high quality products in a timely manner with lowest scrap possible
  • Document scrap incurred in any process step
  • Update the initialization tracker, board, and request for tap forms
  • Request cards from the vault for initialization
  • Adhere to applicable ISO Work Instructions
  • Sign-off on initialization and fulfillment tasks
  • Print, fold, insert mail pieces as per specifications and documentation
  • Meter and seal envelopes based on specifications and instructions
  • Printing of cards and carriers on desktop equipment
  • Other Personalization tasks as needed such as assisting with processing returns, retrieving cards, logging jobs, etc.
  • Responsible for accurate completion of all job orders.
  • Ensure Production schedule and Service Level attainment.
  • Ensures correct card, carrier, and initialization specification are adhered to
  • Compliance with Corporate and Local departmental KPI’s and Quality standards.
