The Operator II position involves the manual control and movement of parts and supplies, both packaged and bulk, within a facility. This includes managing the flow of materials from holding areas to individual workstations, through succeeding operations, or to scaling areas. Key tasks encompass segregating parts, writing requisitions, maintaining part number order, scaling parts to stock, and tending to simple automatic operations and setups. The role also requires significant physical activity such as moving and lifting various containers (e.g., pallets, wire containers), stacking skids, and ensuring proper disposal of scrap materials. Beyond material handling, the operator is responsible for processing orders, which includes lumping and receiving, picking and pulling materials, logging and quality checking completed orders, removing goods from inventory, and loading orders onto trucks. Additional duties involve performing regular cycle counts, assisting with inventory control, and maintaining daily housekeeping. The position operates Monday through Friday, from 4:30 am to 1:30 pm, and requires adherence to the company's quality policy and 5S methodology for continuous improvement.
