As a Manufacturing Operator in Final Assembly, you will perform routine assemblies, inspections, packing/shipping and/or sub-assemblies using basic tools and assembly techniques while working to pre-assigned levels of output! Requirements

  • Good mechanical dexterity/eyesight.
  • Ability to read, write and use basic math.
  • Maintain a high degree of accuracy in performing repetitive tasks.
  • Ability to adapt to a changing work environment, including increased automation, change in production methods or sequences and rotation among workstations.
  • Work well with others and actively participate in team problem-solving activities.
  • Be able to lift 40lbs.
  • Work in various positions: standing, sitting, and working on repetitive jobs/assemblies.

Nice To Haves

  • 1 year (minimum) of successful experience in assembly/related functional area is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform basic visual and/or physical in-process testing to ensure high quality standards are met.
  • Rotate among stations within work center/department and may be assigned to more complex tasks, as needed, to facilitate cross training and to cover department/work center needs.
  • Determine set-up procedures, equipment and materials needed, assembly process, safety precautions, cycle time and related requirements by working from blueprints, diagrams, and process sheets.
  • Work with basic chemicals in performing assembly detail as well as use simple machinery to prepare component parts for further assembly.
  • Assist higher-level Assemblers in more complicated assemblies or final production, as needed.
  • Diagnose faulty operations, product imperfections, and/or equipment malfunctions and work with technical and supervisory personnel to resolve discrepancies.
  • Maintain accurate inventory count of completed work.
  • Monitor work and ensure requirements are being met regarding schedule, quality and quantity.
  • Package component parts or assemblies for shipment, ensuring protection from potential shipment damage and that all vital parts and instructions are present.
