About The Position

IPG Photonics is hiring an Operator I to operate vacuum tools that deposit films during production of high-powered lasers. The role involves close attention to detail and following specified operating procedures, handling small fragile parts, and maintaining process records. Requirements

• Arm-hand steadiness, good hand-eye coordination, and fine motor control.
• Comfort handling small, fragile parts.
• Some experience in manufacturing or another hands-on job involving tools, such as auto repair, construction, carpentry, plumbing, or HVAC.
• Ability to differentiate colors.
• Good communication skills and ability to understand and follow verbal and written work instructions.
• Regular and reliable attendance and ability to work overtime.
• Basic familiarity with PCs.

Nice To Haves

• Cleanroom experience.
• Vacuum tool experience.

Responsibilities

• Operate vacuum tools to deposit films, following specified operating procedures and paying close attention to detail.
• Evaluate defects according to established criteria, including color.
• Prepare materials for production by following set procedures.
• Maintain process records as directed.
