About The Position

GAF Energy is seeking Production Operators who will manufacture the next generation of building integrated photovoltaic (BIPV) products. You will report to the Production Supervisor and work at an assigned section on the production line. You will join a highly focused team that thrives in a fast-paced environment. You will be part of the team that is responsible for manufacturing and delivery of high quality, high-volume photovoltaic solar technology solutions that transform today's roofs. The role will focus on safety, quality, productivity, and on time delivery.

Requirements

H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) or equivalent required
Work in a manufacturing or safety sensitive work environment
Follow both verbal instructions and written procedures
Experience working in a manufacturing environment
Basic PC skills and ability to navigate programs used by the Company for training and/or communication purposes
Able to read, write, and communicate in English
Able to add, subtract, multiply and divide

Nice To Haves

Soldering experience is a plus
Experience hand soldering and use of torque driven tools a plus
Work collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment
High level of accuracy. Attention to detail
Ability to communicate effectively
Adhere to company policies and safety requirements
Ability to walk, lift, carry, grasp, bend, climb stairs and ladders, reach, kneel
Ability to stand for long periods of time as necessary
Ability to push, pull, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds
Available to work flexible hours as necessary
Ability to follow directions and complete work with minimal supervision

Responsibilities

Use a combination of automated technology and manual skills to assemble BIPV products
Perform various assembly operations.
Self-inspecting products. Ensure quality requirements are met
Perform simple electrical testing of the product as required
Use manufacturing execution system (MES) to input manufacturing data
Perform routine preventive maintenance as assigned
Maintain a safe and clean production environment
Execute housekeeping responsibilities that are consistent with manufacturing initiatives
Ensure production processes are carried in accordance with company and regulatory requirements
Other duties as assigned
