About The Position

The Operator I operates and maintains sludge, de-watering treatment, processing, disposal and testing equipment in a refinery/industrial facility to meet customer specifications under direct supervision. This role is designed for individuals with no prior specific experience who will learn and advance within the company.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED.
Ability to learn and independently operate assigned machines and equipment.
Ability to learn and independently operate equipment such as pumps, centrifuges, valves, mixers, conveyors, blowers, dryers, chemical feed, odor control, disinfection equipment, sludge processing filters, measuring/control devices, testing equipment and material handling equipment.
Willingness to assume additional or new responsibilities readily.

Responsibilities

Operate and maintain sludge, de-watering treatment, processing, disposal and testing equipment.
Meet or exceed processing and quality targets.
Independently operate equipment such as pumps, centrifuges, valves, mixers, conveyors, blowers, dryers, chemical feed, odor control, disinfection equipment, sludge processing filters, measuring/control devices, testing equipment and material handling equipment.
Work in a team environment and be willing to assume additional or new responsibilities.
Keep the work area neat and clean.
Collect liquid and solid samples and perform routine sampling testing.
Log and record process readings.
Perform unit rounds.
Assist in facility equipment preventative maintenance.
Assist in general maintenance of facility equipment.
