About The Position

Under the direction of the Production Supervisor and/or Operations Manager, the Operator I - Converting sets up, operates, and maintains converting and finishing equipment to produce high-quality packaging and printed products in accordance with customer specifications, production schedules, and company performance standards. The role supports converting processes including flexographic printing, die cutting, label application, web handling, and adhesive application. Candidates with converting, packaging, flexographic printing, label manufacturing, or related production experience are encouraged to apply.

Requirements

Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
Experience operating converting, packaging, printing, finishing, or manufacturing equipment.
Experience performing machine setups, changeovers, and production adjustments.
Strong attention to detail, quality, and safety.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and stoop for extended periods.
Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs.
Ability to read and follow work instructions and production specifications.

Nice To Haves

Experience operating and setting up flexographic presses, die cutters, label systems, web handling systems, adhesive application systems, or related production equipment.
High school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

Set up, operate, adjust, and troubleshoot converting and finishing equipment.
Complete machine setups and changeovers to support production needs.
Operate flexographic printing equipment, die-cutting equipment, label applicators, web-fed systems, adhesive systems, and related converting machinery.
Produce finished products that meet quality standards.
Monitor equipment performance and make adjustments to maintain production goals.
Identify and resolve equipment or production issues to minimize downtime.
Maintain accurate production records and counts.
Support safe and efficient team operations.
Keep the work area clean, organized, and safe.
Support continuous improvement efforts focused on safety, quality, and efficiency.
Perform other duties as assigned.
