About The Position

Brasfield & Gorrie is hiring an Operator Foreman (also described as an Equipment Foreman) to lead operator crews on industrial and commercial construction projects in Cartersville, Georgia, including the Northwest Georgia Power Generation Project. Applicants with industrial, power generation, commercial, or heavy civil earthwork backgrounds are welcome. The role involves operating construction equipment, overseeing subcontractor work, and supporting project planning and equipment maintenance. This description may not include every duty or responsibility required for the position.

Requirements

• Three or more years of industrial construction equipment operator experience preferred.
• Experience managing operator crews and/or subcontractors preferred.
• Ability to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls.
• Ability to lift up to 70 pounds.
• Ability to stoop, bend, sit, and stand for extended periods in all weather conditions.

Nice To Haves

• Three or more years of industrial construction equipment operator experience.
• Experience managing operator crews and/or subcontractors.
• Background in industrial, power generation, commercial, or heavy civil earthwork construction.

Responsibilities

• Operate various types of construction equipment at a proficient level.
• Oversee the work of subcontractors.
• Assist the Superintendent in planning manpower levels, material quantities, equipment requirements, and other planning functions.
• Repair and maintain equipment as needed.
• Record job details and time worked on each piece of equipment on provided tickets.
• Confer with supervisory personnel and employees, with appropriate assistance from HR and Legal, to resolve workforce complaints and grievances.
• Perform additional duties assigned by the supervisor.
• Follow jobsite safety protocols and maintain a drug-free work environment.
