About The Position
Will operate most types of heavy equipment used for road maintenance, drive trucks (including Belly Dumps and End Dumps) to deliver and spread gravel, watering roads or removing snow. Hand work that includes patching potholes, trimming trees, installing signs and traffic control.
Requirements
- Punctual and take direction from supervisor
- Experience with the basic operations of older as well as newer equipment
- Basic skills to safely operate heavy equipment, belly dumps, dump trucks and snow plows
- Able to work with the general public as well as with fellow County employees
- Experience with heavy construction work and road maintenance
- Ability to make decisions and move forward with assigned tasks
- Class A CDL drivers license
