About The Position

The Data Collection Operations team is responsible for generating the high-quality real-world data that trains and improves NEO’s behavior. This team operates at the intersection of robotics, AI, and human interaction — creating the datasets that directly shape how our robots move, respond, and operate safely in home environments. As we scale deployments, this group plays a critical role in accelerating robot learning and operational readiness. As a Senior Operator on the Data Collection team, your charter is to execute high-quality robot operations while raising the standard for precision, consistency, and operational excellence across the team. You will operate humanoid robots in controlled lab and residential-style environments, support AI data generation workflows, and help improve the systems and processes that enable scalable robot learning.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience operating robots, technical systems, or similar hands-on operational equipment
  • Proven ability to follow structured procedures with precision and consistency
  • Comfortable working in VR environments and performing physically active tasks throughout the workday
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and wear operational equipment weighing up to 30 lbs
  • Availability to work flexible schedules including swing shifts, weekends, and overtime as needed

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting robotics, autonomous systems, or AI data collection programs
  • Prior experience contributing to SOP development, process optimization, or operational scaling efforts
  • Familiarity with data annotation tools, issue tracking systems, or technical reporting workflows

Responsibilities

  • Execute robot operation and data collection workflows with high accuracy, consistency, and adherence to SOPs
  • Produce high-quality annotated datasets and detailed issue reporting that improve AI model training and robot performance
  • Maintain operational readiness of robots, equipment, and data collection environments across assigned shifts
  • Identify workflow inefficiencies and contribute measurable improvements to SOPs, tooling, and operational scalability
  • Support successful robot sessions in lab and residential environments while maintaining safety, professionalism, and data integrity
