About The Position
The Operator/Collector, Public Works is responsible for the collection of backdoor and curbside solid waste from residential and commercial establishments.
Requirements
- Demonstrates ability to perform assigned tasks.
- Must possess a Class A or Class B CDL Louisiana Driver's License.
Responsibilities
- In addition to curbside and back door waste collection, may also perform collection of litter along edges of streets and roadways, cutting grass and weeds and removal of waste from refuse vehicles.
- May drive and operate refuse trucks, small pick-ups, and other assigned refuse collections vehicles to and from pick up locations.
- Rides refuse collection vehicle to and from work sites.
- May operate other equipment, such as knuckle boom.
- Shall perform preventative maintenance to equipment.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
