About The Position

The Chemical Operator is a Production Operator in the Industry & Water segment, based in Mojave, California. The position performs work safely and according to established procedures, troubleshoots problems, performs laboratory analysis tasks, and ensures the proper operation of equipment. Responsibilities include monitoring tank levels and process instrumentation; operating pumps, valves, filter presses, controls, and other devices; loading finished goods; connecting and disconnecting railroad cars; and operating fork trucks, skid steers, and overhead cranes. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 1 year of experience in chemical plant operations, industrial manufacturing, or a similar environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Good interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team.
• Ability to work with little supervision.
• Experience with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Nice To Haves

• Technical school education or coursework in process operations.
