About The Position

The Operator Bolter is responsible for successfully completing all required training, and acquiring and demonstrating capability to competently perform all required tasks in a safe manner in order to advance to Miner 1 at the Red Lake Operation. This role is to recruit for an existing vacancy. The position will be on a 7/7 (12-hour day) roster and will be based residentially in Red Lake, Ontario, with no access to camp or FIFO. We offer a competitive salary, bonus structure, and future growth. The compensation range for this role is $122,377 to $165,569 CAD.

Requirements

Secondary School Graduation Diploma
Successfully completed all relevant Common Core training modules.
Competency to perform all skills acquired as Miner 3, with aptitude to progress to the next level
Demonstrated ability to drill and blast, slash, sub-drift, raise round & draft round
Competency in reading mining prints and shooting lines
Ability to lead in a production heading
Good physical fitness with the ability to work in an underground environment
Excellent communication abilities
Flexibility and willingness to work on a rotational shiftwork basis
Willing and able to follow instructions and share knowledge and experience with others
Ability to work effectively alone and in a team environment

Responsibilities

Perform duties with skills acquired as Miner 3, 4, 5 and 6.
Train and successfully demonstrate ability to operate and obtain required licensing (i.e. utility vehicle).
Perform tasks as directed under the direction of supervisor.
Consistently work in a safe and conscientious manner.
Comply with all safety procedures.
Wear all required personal protective equipment.
Observe experienced workers to gain and increase knowledge of methods, procedures, and performance standards.
Report any unsafe conditions to your supervisor.
Work in a healthy work environment with full support, cooperation and commitment to satisfy our operation’s goal of being accident-free.
Comply with federal and provincial acts and regulations, and legal requirements.
