Job Opportunities: Operator Assistant Trainee - Frac/Acid
About The Position
This is an entry-level position subject to a 90-day training period. Halliburton provides training in field operations. Depending on the job location, lodging and a rotating schedule may be provided. Under supervision, the employee learns basic safety, repair, and operating procedures for the equipment and tools used in the job. The role follows Health, Safety, and Environmental procedures and service-quality protocols, assists with equipment inspections and paperwork, helps rig up and rig down equipment, performs preventative maintenance, and helps clean, repair, and prepare equipment for jobs. The employee also practices safe driving while traveling to and from locations and completes required company training.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent education.
- Must be able to obtain a Class A CDL license with tanker endorsement or a Class B license, depending on the product service line.
- Satisfactory driver record, with no DWI/DUI convictions in the past three years or current DWI/DUI charges.
- Able to lift up to 60 pounds.
- Able to pass a background check, physical, and drug screen.
- Able to understand and carry out routine oral and written instructions.
- Able to perform basic mathematical calculations.
- Able to accommodate a flexible work schedule, long work days, irregular work hours, short-notice on-call work, and exposure to extreme weather conditions.
- Maintains an effective working relationship with other employees.
Responsibilities
- Learn and follow Health, Safety, and Environmental procedures, guidelines, and other safety and service-quality protocols.
- Assist with pre-job and post-job equipment inspections and complete associated paperwork and reports.
- Assist with rigging up and rigging down operating equipment, including high-pressure iron and hose connections.
- Assist with preventative maintenance and maintenance of support equipment.
- Assist with cleaning, repairing, and preparing equipment for a job.
- Practice safe driving when traveling to and from locations.
- Complete required training through the Company's learning development system and processes.
