About The Position

ASRC Federal Gulf State Constructors, a subsidiary of ASRC Federal, is seeking an Operator, Alarm Communications to support our government customer programs in Enid, Oklahoma. This role is responsible for the operation of the Fire Department Communications Center. The operator will maintain the station log, record all incoming voice communications, and keep the center clean and orderly. They must be able to speak clearly under stress and write legibly. The position requires maintaining TO's, Regulations, Charts, Maps, and other essential items in current status and in their assigned location. The operator will also manage the Base after hours communication system, accept after hours trouble calls, input them into the computer, and/or contact EMCS personnel for troubleshooting or scheduling of craftsmen. Other job-related duties may be assigned.

Requirements

Must be able to speak clearly under stress and write legibly
Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills, to include clear articulation and concise communication
Must be proficient in computer skills
Must be able to obtain any additional certifications required by the PWS upon hire
Must be able to obtain and maintain secret security clearance
Must possess HAZMAT Awareness certification
Must be able to obtain Telecommunications I, Telecommunications II, and Emergency Medical Dispatcher (EMD) within 90 days of hire
Must be at least 18 years of age or older
Must be a US or Permanent Citizen due to contract requirements

Responsibilities

Operation of the Fire Department Communications Center
Maintains station log
Records all incoming voice communications
Maintains the center in a clean and orderly manner
Keeps TO's, Regulations, Charts, Maps, and other items essential to the center's operation in current status and in assigned location
Operates Base after hours communication system as required
Accepts after hours trouble calls, inputs into computer and/or contacts EMCS personnel for troubleshoot or scheduling of craftsman
Performs other job related duties as assigned
