About The Position

The Operator 2, Machine Liquid - Refiners is responsible for staging and mixing raw materials on production lines. The position reports to the Supervisor, Production and is located in St. Albans, Vermont. The scheduled hours are Wednesday from 1:00 p.m. to 7:15 p.m. and Thursday through Saturday from 7:00 a.m. to 7:15 p.m. Duties may change or expand in response to business needs, and reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One year of food manufacturing experience.
• Good written and oral communication skills.
• Basic computer usage, including keyboard and mouse.
• Math skills in addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Ability to operate power equipment, including a forklift and hand card.
• Ability to stand on a concrete floor for long periods.
• Ability to bend, squat, stretch, and reach frequently.
• Ability to climb stairs often.
• Ability to frequently lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
• Comfort working at heights.
• Ability to work in a variety of weather conditions and temperatures in the facility.
• Ability to work in noise levels that can exceed .85 decibels.

Nice To Haves

• Two-year technical degree in manufacturing.
• Computer Numerical Control (CNC) experience.
• Experience with Microsoft Google Sheets.
• Experience using a micrometer.

Responsibilities

• Perform the duties of an Operator 1.
• Enter recipe data according to the production schedule.
• Operate batch controller systems and perform data entries in SAP.
• Perform viscosity and quality checks on line samples.
• Correct paste consistency in a mixer and transfer chocolate as needed.
• Operate equipment PLCs.
• Track inventory, clean magnets, and document HACCP.
• Cross-train to perform all functions of an Operator 3, Machine Liquid.
• Cross-train to perform all functions of an Operator 3, Machine Liquid- Mixer.
