If you’re ready to grow with us, we’d love to hear from you. We are seeking an Operator 2, Bakery – Packing (Grandi Operator) to join our team at our Hazleton, PA bakery. As an Operator 2, Bakery – Packing (Grandi Operator), you will be accountable for operating, monitoring, and troubleshooting the Grandi Vision System, case check weighing machines, and bag un-cuffing equipment to ensure continuous production flow, product accuracy, and minimal waste. This role plays a critical part in maintaining food safety, quality standards, operational efficiency, and effective communication across production teams.

Requirements

High school diploma, GED, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
Basic math and timekeeping skills.
Ability to make logical decisions and resolve routine operational issues.
Ability to work effectively in both team and independent work environments.
Ability to lift, push, pull, or move up to 50 pounds and frequently carry more than 20 pounds.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, twist, stoop, climb, and perform repetitive head, neck, and hand/wrist movements throughout the shift.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in a food manufacturing or food production environment.
Experience operating automated packaging or inspection equipment.
Knowledge of check weighers, vision systems, or similar production technology.
Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and food safety requirements.
Experience training or mentoring production employees.

Responsibilities

Operate and monitor the Grandi Vision System, check weighers, and bag un-cuffing equipment to ensure efficient production flow.
Calibrate, inspect, and troubleshoot equipment to maintain product accuracy and operational reliability.
Communicate production issues, alarms, and out-of-specification products to production, maintenance, sanitation, quality, and leadership teams.
Maintain compliance with safety requirements, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), quality standards, and company policies.
Support production efficiency by minimizing downtime, reducing waste, and ensuring proper equipment setup and changeovers.
Train and assist team members while contributing to problem-solving, teamwork, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Maintain clean, sanitary, and organized work areas while protecting company assets and equipment.
