About The Position

The Operator 1 is responsible for Sort & Pack Operations, performing shop-floor work that is less skilled than Labor Grade 5 and complying with IATF 16949 standards. The role supports continuous machine operation, quality, material handling, packaging, documentation, housekeeping, and workplace safety. The Operator 1 reports to the Production Supervisor and does not supervise others.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Basic math skills.
High motivation.
Strong time-management and prioritization skills.
Analytical and problem-solving skills.
Computer literacy, including knowledge of Excel.
Ability to interact with vendors and internal customers.
Metrics-driven approach.

Nice To Haves

Manufacturing experience.
BPCS experience.

Responsibilities

Maintain continuous operation of machinery to eliminate unnecessary downtime.
Troubleshoot manufacturing issues to maintain quality standards.
Operate mobile equipment.
Handle materials, operate overhead cranes, and pull racks from chambers as assigned.
Measure parts using micrometers, calipers, and similar devices.
Sort and package products, glue materials, and dump scrap.
Complete paperwork, documentation, and BPCS transactions accurately and on time.
Assist with general department housekeeping.
Follow company safety policies and procedures and maintain a safe work environment.
Perform other duties or special projects as required or assigned.
