About The Position
Aspire Bakeries is seeking a hard-working Operator 1, Bakery to join their team at the Ancaster bakery. This role is responsible for supporting essential production tasks including packaging, material handling, boiler operations, and tote management. The Operator 1 ensures efficient workflow, safe operations, and consistent food-quality standards. Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Good oral and written English communication skills
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts and overtime as needed
- Ability to stand, walk, climb, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Dependable, punctual, and adaptable in fast-paced environments
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently
- Ability to pass a clear criminal background check (or has received a pardon)
Nice To Haves
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to make minor equipment adjustments
- Previous experience in a food-manufacturing production environment
- Basic computer skills
- Experience operating material-handling equipment (training provided)
Responsibilities
- Support production workflow by executing packaging, material handling, boiler, and tote management tasks.
- Maintain safe, clean, and organized work areas in alignment with GMPs and food-safety standards.
- Assist machine operators and support continuous line efficiency across assigned areas.
- Operate assigned equipment safely and perform routine checks to maintain product quality.
- Accurately complete required production documentation and communicate effectively with Leads and Supervisors.
- Demonstrate teamwork, professionalism, and readiness to assist in multiple production tasks.
- Respond quickly to equipment or process issues and escalate concerns as needed.
