About The Position

We are seeking an Operator 1, Bakery-Sheeter Helper - 2nd Shift to join our team at our Swedesboro, NJ bakery. As an Operator 1, Bakery-Sheeter Helper - 2nd Shift, you will be accountable for maintaining efficient dough flow onto the sheeter line, supporting process controls, and ensuring consistent product quality and operational accuracy. Your role is essential to keeping line operations stable, safe, and aligned with quality standards.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum 6 months of experience as an Ingredient Operator or similar production role
• Ability to understand and operate process control systems and equipment
• Basic knowledge of dough mixing or dough handling
• Ability to read numbers, record data, and complete documentation accurately
• Ability to use computers and navigate operating screens
• Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs., and work in a fast‑paced environment

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience in production, bakery, or packing environments
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively
• Bilingual in English and Spanish
• Understanding of continuous improvement concepts

Responsibilities

• Support sheeter operations by staging, loading, and monitoring dough flow to maintain consistent production
• Maintain process control parameters, scales, and quality checks to ensure product specifications are met
• Collaborate with Operator 2, Sheeter, and production teams to maintain line efficiency
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas in compliance with SOPs, GMPs, and AOE systems
• Inspect equipment functionality, communicate malfunctions, and document production and quality records
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, including root cause analysis and standard work training
• Support proofer plate movement, flour dusters, and workstation readiness
