We are seeking an Operator 1, Bakery-Packaging-1st Shift to join our team at our Cayce, SC bakery. As an Operator 1, Bakery-Packaging-1st Shift, you will be accountable for supporting packaging operations by operating production equipment, maintaining product quality standards, and contributing to safe, efficient production processes that help achieve bakery performance goals.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Ability to read, write, and perform basic mathematical calculations.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with changing priorities.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, and perform repetitive movements throughout the shift.
- Availability to work weekends, holidays, and overtime as required.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience working in a food manufacturing environment.
- Experience operating production or packaging equipment.
- Basic computer skills and computer literacy.
- Knowledge of manufacturing, food safety, or production processes.
Responsibilities
- Operate and adjust packaging equipment to ensure consistent product specifications and production efficiency.
- Package products using manual and automated processes to achieve production targets.
- Monitor product quality and ensure compliance with food safety and appearance standards.
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas in accordance with GMP and safety requirements.
- Identify and communicate equipment or production issues to appropriate teams for timely resolution.
- Collaborate with cross-functional team members to support operational goals and a positive work environment.
- Follow production schedules and running orders to meet daily manufacturing objectives.
