About The Position

The Operations and Visual Manager is a member of the store leadership team responsible for ALO’s operational and visual strategy. The role focuses on inventory management, labor planning and scheduling, and visual execution to support an efficient, effective, and consistently customer-ready store.

The manager oversees operational and visual processes, investigates inventory accuracy issues, supports salesfloor visual standards, and coordinates labor for receiving deliveries. They also work with the General Manager on business performance, budgets, reporting, planning, and future workflow needs.

As a people leader, this role coaches and develops the Operations and Visual team, supports recruitment and succession planning, and creates schedules aligned with business needs. The manager also oversees Flow experience deliverables, collaborates with business partners, and balances organizational goals with ALO’s brand culture.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of retail or related industry leadership experience.
• Working knowledge of MS Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Strong verbal and written interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks in a changing environment.
• Motivation to drive business in a fast-paced, innovative environment.
• Business-owner mindset and entrepreneurial spirit.
• Independent work ethic, time-management skills, and personal accountability.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and support execution of key operational and visual processes.
• Investigate the root causes of inventory accuracy issues and partner with the General Manager to escalate process or system gaps.
• Champion strong salesfloor visual standards using business performance data.
• Support sell-through management by ensuring inventory counts are accurate and coordinating labor hours for receiving product deliveries.
• Support a safe work environment and efficient store operation.
• Represent the business in meetings and conference calls in partnership with the General Manager.
• Review, monitor, and partner with the General Manager to manage budgets, reporting, business data, and metrics such as expenses and sell-through; inform planning processes such as quarterly business reviews and sales planning.
• Plan workflows for future business needs to protect optimal performance.
• Ensure the Operations and Visual team reflects ALO’s mission and guiding principles and communicates them to visitors.
• Lead the team through accountability, regular coaching, talent development, and effective communication.
• Establish internal and external talent pipelines through succession planning and recruitment strategy.
• Write an effective schedule that prioritizes business strategy in partnership with the General Manager.
• Oversee execution of Flow experience deliverables on the ALO Sales and Service Model while protecting operational efficiency.
• Collaborate on and implement the General/Store Manager’s vision, and work cross-functionally with business partners as directed to support organizational goals and inventory and salesfloor KPIs.
• Navigate the organization while balancing business needs and brand culture.
