The Test Operations Supervisor leads and coordinates the work of Test Engineering Technicians and Developmental Assemblers in support of production-related manufacturing equipment. The role provides technical guidance, manages multiple concurrent projects, and ensures the standardization and continuous improvement of processes within a fast‑paced product support environment. It also fosters team development and drives improvement initiatives aligned with organizational goals.

Requirements

  • 2-4 years of experience in Test Engineering or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of electrical components, materials, and the Test Engineering process, including key parameters and design tradeoffs.
  • Proven leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and maintain effective working relationships with internal teams, customers, and suppliers.
  • Proficiency in personal computer use, including database management, technical publishing, and word processing software.
  • Associate’s Degree in Electronics or equivalent.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related physical science.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and technical assistance to assigned staff and manage multiple projects to completion in a fast-paced product development environment.
  • Provide technical interface with suppliers, assisting in the interpretation of drawings, definition of requirements, and the application of new technologies into company products.
  • Create and execute data-driven action plans to improve standard work and performance.
  • Plan, organize, and lead multiple projects, including scheduling preparation and reporting.
  • Ensure standardization of products and processes and ensure that documentation is current and changes are made in accordance with company and customer requirements.
  • Sustain a safe workplace through the establishment and support of company policy.
  • Drive continuous improvement through the implementation of the Crane Business System.
  • Communicate best practices within the Crane organization.
  • Assist in achieving Strategic Plan objectives.
  • Perform any other tasks assigned by supervisors or management.
