About The Position

The Operations Technician is responsible for material movement, fixture loading, and performing gridder functions in support of sub-assembly operations. This role involves transporting materials throughout the facility, loading sub-assembly fixtures, and performing autonomous maintenance (AM) activities at sub-assembly cells. The Operations Technician will move racks, skids, and other materials—both full and empty—and maintain accurate inventory control. This position is also responsible for processing incoming materials, performing cycle counts, and managing inventory accuracy. The Operations Technician will address inventory adjustments from suppliers or the warehouse, dispute kitting inaccuracies, order hot parts through the warehouse or buyer, and manage long lead-time inventory to prevent production line stoppages.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED/equivalent
  • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record (CDL preferred)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to follow written plans and procedures
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Ability to pass pre-employment background screening, physical assessment, physical examination, and drug screening
  • Ability to work overtime as required and work any assigned shift
  • Ability to work rotating shifts, holidays, and overtime

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree or technical certification in a business or industrial discipline
  • Emergency response training
  • Two (2) years of experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment
  • Two (2) years of experience in a mechanical or industrial maintenance role
  • Proficient computer skills in Excel or other Microsoft platforms
  • Knowledge of basic science and industrial mathematics concepts
  • Demonstrated safety training in an industrial environment
  • OSHA 10-hour or 30-hour certification

Responsibilities

  • Operate mobile equipment, including spotting trailers, forklifts, tuggers, and similar equipment
  • Move materials throughout the facility and load sub-assembly fixtures
  • Perform gridder functions and AM activities at sub-assembly cells
  • Inspect incoming parts for accuracy and condition
  • Maintain inventory control, process incoming materials, and perform cycle counts
  • Resolve inventory discrepancies and dispute kitting errors with the warehouse
  • Order hot parts through the warehouse or buyer and manage long lead-time inventory
  • Work effectively with minimal supervision
  • Communicate effectively with employees across all areas of the facility
  • Maintain regular and reliable attendance
  • Perform other duties as assigned
