About The Position

Independent Crop Inputs (ICI) is a full-service independent ag-retail business serving producers across Southern Alberta. We are committed to delivering unbiased, high-value service and agronomic expertise. ICI is currently seeking a motivated and dependable Operations Team Member to join our Scandia team. Operations staff are critical to the success of our business and play an essential role in supporting day-to-day operations, customer service, and product delivery. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, thrives in a team environment, and takes pride in maintaining safe and efficient operations.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Valid Class 3 driver’s license or willingness to obtain
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to complete routine maintenance and repair
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs
  • Strong commitment to workplace safety and operational excellence

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in operations, agriculture, or a related field considered an asset
  • Knowledge of fertilizer and agricultural products considered an asset
  • Experience operating heavy equipment such as loaders, bobcats, and forklifts preferred

Responsibilities

  • Assist in maintaining clean, organized, and safe facilities, yards, and storage areas
  • Support the efficient use and organization of physical storage facilities
  • Ensure products and equipment are stored safely and securely
  • Follow all company safety procedures, operational standards, and regulatory requirements
  • Assist with blending dry fertilizer according to operational requirements
  • Receive, unload, and properly store incoming product shipments
  • Load and unload trailers safely and efficiently
  • Prepare and stage products for customer delivery or pickup
  • Assist with inventory movement and product organization
  • Operate equipment such as forklifts, loaders, and bobcats in a safe and responsible manner
  • Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and minor repairs on equipment and facilities
  • Report maintenance concerns or equipment issues promptly to management
  • Support operational efficiency by ensuring equipment is clean, functional, and ready for use
  • Deliver chemical and fertilizer products to customers in a safe and professional manner
  • Communicate effectively with customers, suppliers, and team members
  • Assist with ensuring timely and accurate product deliveries
  • Represent ICI professionally while interacting with customers and stakeholders
  • Work collaboratively with operations, agronomy, and management teams to support business goals
  • Contribute to a positive, respectful, and team-oriented workplace culture
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Site Manager
