About The Position

Cavalier Distributing is seeking a Nightshift Operations Team Lead. This full-time position is Monday through Friday, working approximately 3:00 pm until all work is complete. There are 3-4 weekends per year where a weekend shift may be required, with two weeks' advance notice. The Team Lead is responsible for the success, productivity, and quality of supply chain distribution within the warehouse, ensuring a safe and efficient workplace. The Team Lead works with the Operations Manager to develop strategies and objectives for maximizing productivity, solving problems, and leading teams in the continuous pursuit of progress. Delegation is key, achieving goals through teamwork and aligning teams with the Operations Manager’s objectives. Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 1-3 years of commensurate supply chain experience or equivalent
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel software applications
• Previous change management experience (driving, influencing and inspiring change through communication)
• Technology background, ability to learn new programs easily
• Ability to work a flexible schedule.
• Ability to be on-call at various times.
• Must be able to work in cool/warm temperatures.

• Encompass experience would be a plus.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing Shipping Operations (Pickers) and/or Office Operations (e.g., Routers, Analysts, General Office Associates).
• Developing strategies and objectives with the Operations Manager to maximize productivity.
• Solving problems and leading by engaging teams in the continuous pursuit of progress.
• Delegating tasks to achieve goals through teamwork and aligning teams with the Operations Manager’s objectives.
• Ensuring operational and safety excellence.
• Promoting a safe environment and culture through ongoing training, team engagement, and regular review.
• Ensuring efficient operation of WMS (warehouse management systems) and equipment.
• Managing slotting and product placement.
• Maintaining facility, equipment, and staff appearance and integrity.
• Coaching and training, promoting paths to success and retention.

Benefits

• Competitive Compensation: $19.00 - $20.00 per hour, based on experience.
