  • Manual dexterity, hand-eye coordination, and the ability to safely perform physical job duties are required.
  • CSA-approved safety footwear is required.
  • Must hold a valid Ontario driver’s license and have access to a personal vehicle.

  • Previous supervisory experience is considered an asset but is not required.
  • Spanish language skills are considered an asset.
  • Previous Shipper/Receiver experience is considered an asset.
  • Forklift experience is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Provide onboarding, training, coaching, and ongoing development to employees to support performance and continuous improvement.
  • Plan, delegate, motivate, and lead daily warehouse operations while collaborating with the Warehouse Manager and Supervisors to ensure appropriate staffing levels, workflow efficiency, and quality standards are met.
  • Communicate and collaborate with Production, Sales, Greenhouse, Maintenance, and other departments to address operational variances, quality concerns, product availability, and implement corrective actions as required.
  • Ensure production lines are organized, prepared, cleaned, and maintained in accordance with Health & Safety, Food Safety, and quality standards.
  • Support the Warehouse Manager in achieving operational goals by monitoring labor utilization, productivity, downtime, costs, throughput, and overall efficiency.
  • Monitor compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), HACCP, Health & Safety requirements, Food Safety standards, and all company policies and procedures.
  • Provide performance feedback to the Warehouse Manager, participate in employee evaluations, and administer progressive discipline when required.
  • Monitor equipment and facility conditions, report maintenance requirements, and perform minor repairs where appropriate.
  • Maintain and complete pre-operational and post cleaning procedure checklists for production lines.
  • Review and approve/deny employee timecards and time-off requests within established payroll deadlines.
  • Monitor employee labor tracking systems (Priva) and provide retraining or corrective coaching as required.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all proprietary information, Company data, and personnel information.
  • Complete and maintain all required documentation, records, reports, and operational checklists accurately and within required timelines.
  • Monitor NAV and department communications to ensure orders are scheduled, processed, and shipped within required timelines.
  • Collaborate with Warehouse Manager/Supervisors regarding production schedules, customer orders, product availability, and communicate delays or shortages to Sales as necessary.
  • Monitor inventory and maintain cooler and stock areas to ensure FIFO (First In, First Out) practices are consistently followed unless otherwise directed.
  • Verify shipment accuracy by inspecting products and matching shipments to pick lists, bills of lading, and other required documentation.
  • Load, unload, and transport products, materials, and equipment safely and efficiently using a forklift.
  • Conduct daily forklift inspections and complete all required safety checks and documentation.
  • Adhere to established safety regulations, including the proper use of warning signals (horns), seatbelts, and other required safety equipment.
  • Assist Production Forklift Operators and support warehouse operations during peak periods as required.
  • Complete all required shipping, receiving, inventory, and operational documentation accurately and on time.
  • Perform general housekeeping duties within the Shipping area to ensure compliance with Nature Fresh (NF) standards.
  • Report operational issues, delays, equipment concerns, or inventory discrepancies to the Warehouse Manager in a timely manner.
  • Follow all Nature Fresh Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Must comply with all Health and Safety, Food Safety, Bio Security, and Nature Fresh Policies and Procedures.
