About The Position

Laguna Beach Community Clinic is a non-profit community medical clinic dedicated to providing high-quality, accessible care to all - regardless of ability to pay. We are seeking a full-time Operations Support to join our team in the front office. We operate a fast-paced, team-oriented, friendly environment dedicated to providing the best medical care to our patients. This position requires exceptional interpersonal skills, as the people in this position are most often the first and/or last point of contact for patients of the Clinic.

Requirements

  • Bilingual in Spanish
  • Previous Medical Front Office experience
  • Knowledge and skill in filing, typing, and computer literacy
  • Ability to maintain an organized work environment
  • Excellent interpersonal skills/customer service and the ability to interact with a diverse patient population
  • Ability to work one-two Saturdays per month on a rotating basis

Nice To Haves

  • Medical Assistant (MA) certification preferred

Responsibilities

  • Answer phones
  • Schedule appointments for new and on-going patients
  • Complete intake and check-out procedures
  • Maintain patient health records
  • Explain Clinic policies and procedures
  • Establish mode of payment
  • Use the Clinic's integrated database system effectively and efficiently
  • Maintain knowledge of publicly funded programs such as MSI, CHOP, CTU, Medicare, FPACT, CalOPTIMA, MediCal, etc.
