About The Position

The Operations Support Specialist provides operational and administrative support to Steam Logistics' International division, including imports, exports, customs, and drayage operations. This role is responsible for coordinating shipment documentation, processing payments, monitoring cargo releases, supporting customer accounts, and ensuring the smooth movement of freight. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1 to 2 years of professional work experience preferred.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Proficiency navigating multiple systems and software platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Manage shared inboxes and route emails and documentation to appropriate team members.
  • Process shipment-related payments to ensure timely cargo release.
  • Track shipment status and coordinate with internal and external partners to prevent delays.
  • Support customer accounts through documentation management, financial updates, and operational coordination.
  • Perform track-and-trace activities and maintain shipment visibility.
  • Assist with load building, TMS maintenance, financial processing, and special projects as needed.
