The Operations Support Intern works with the operations team in the IRC’s Baltimore, Maryland office, assisting with daily in-office tasks that support office functions. The internship is hybrid and includes a combination of a standard office environment, remote work, and field time within the greater Baltimore area. Interns must be able to come to the office at least three days per week and work a minimum of 15 hours per week for 14 weeks. The internship runs from the required orientation on January 27, 2027, through May 16, 2027. Interns are issued an IRC laptop for remote and in-office responsibilities. Learning objectives include understanding how community members can support humanitarian immigrants in the Baltimore metropolitan area, learning best practices for daily office operations, and learning to provide culturally sensitive support to youth, parents or guardians, and community partners. The internship is unpaid. University credit may be arranged, and interns are eligible for a $15-per-day per diem (defined as 7.5 hours) toward food and travel expenses. Mileage for approved activities may also be reimbursed based on round-trip mileage from the IRC office.
