About The Position

We are seeking an Operational Support Engineer I to join our manufacturing team. A successful candidate will be primarily responsible for conducting process audits across manufacturing operations to ensure personnel adherence to established standards and procedures. This individual will play a critical role in identifying process gaps, performing root cause analysis, and implementing sustainable corrective actions that drive operational excellence.
The shift for this position is Friday, Saturday and Sunday: 6:00 am to 6:00 pm. Will also need to work a 4 hour shift during the the week to hit 40 hours.

Requirements

• Entry-level; 0–2 years of relevant experience
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Willingness to learn and drive change by identifying issues on a production floor.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering preferred
• Internship or co-op experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular, structured process audits on the manufacturing floor to verify that personnel are following documented standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.
• Observe and evaluate manufacturing processes against defined standards, flagging deviations and non-conformances in a timely manner.
• Identify process gaps and systemic deficiencies through audit findings and data analysis.
• Apply structured problem-solving methodologies (e.g., 5-Why, Fishbone/Ishikawa, 8D) to determine root causes of non-conformances.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with production, quality, and engineering teams to validate findings and develop corrective action plans.
• Monitor the effectiveness of implemented actions through follow-up audits and performance metrics.
• Support lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives on the plant floor.
• Contribute to the development and revision of SOPs, work instructions, and training materials.
