About The Position

DSV Canada is excited to offer a 2-Year Paid Trainee Program: a full-time, fixed-term role open to anyone interested in starting a career in logistics. No prior industry experience is required. Developed with CIFFA, the program provides structured training alongside real, hands-on work in our operations. As a full-time DSV employee, you will gain practical experience while completing CIFFA-certified modules and participating in on-site learning. Compensation is $42,000 for year one and $47,000 for year two. We’re looking for individuals who are professional, responsible, and eager to learn. Trainees commit to a two (2) year training period and are to be inducted into the functions of freight forwarding and logistics by way of a structured training program with a strong tailored combination of on-site job training combined with in built CIFFA Certified training modules.

Requirements

  • Applicants must have already graduated; current students are not eligible.
  • Need to have valid Canadian work authorization.
  • Good command, both verbal and written, English skills.
  • MS Office and ability to learn internal applications and software
  • Ability to create collaborative engagements and active listening
  • Service oriented and able to resolve customer grievances
  • Strong interpersonal skills, building professional relationships internally and externally
  • Strong problem-solving skills and analytical skills
  • Ability to multi-task, plan, prioritize and manage time effectively in order to meet goals and achieve results

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills

Responsibilities

  • Process shipments in a respective Road division department that will range in complexity, which may include overland road, oversized or out of gauge shipments.
  • Perform tasks within Company standards with emphasis on cost efficiency and industry standards.
  • Advise department Supervisor, or Manager of any transaction problems or irregularities.
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and guidelines, such as the Code of Conduct, assigned work schedules, and attendance requirements.
  • Perform other operational duties as assigned.
  • Offer feedback on the department they have worked in.
  • Support organizational commitment to ISO 9001.
  • Perform assigned tasks to support DSV meets its objectives and targets regarding quality, health, safety, and environment and follow all requirements as set out in the DSV Quality Health Safety Environment policy.
  • Ensure that day-to-day activities embrace sustainability, Health and safety therefore reducing the impact upon the environment, supporting the communities we work in and reducing incidents in the workplace.
