About The Position

Waste Connections of Iowa is seeking an Operations Supervisor to join its team in Bridgeton, Missouri. The role is suited to a hands-on leader who wants to take the next step in their career while continuing to participate in day-to-day operations. The supervisor monitors driver operations and staffing and routing, supports safety goals, conducts field inspections and audits, handles customer complaints, helps establish goals and action plans with the Operations Manager, participates in P&L reviews, and oversees compliance programs.

Requirements

At least 2 years of management experience in a people-driven environment.
Knowledge of OSHA, DOT, and EPA guidelines.
Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Excel and Word, and the ability to learn and use company-specific applications.
Detail orientation, high accountability, and ability to prioritize tasks.
Class B CDL or ability to obtain one within 90 days.

Nice To Haves

Previous operations experience in the trash industry.
Bachelor’s degree.

Responsibilities

Help develop and execute safety goals.
Monitor the progress of daily driver operations and make staffing and routing changes as necessary.
Conduct field inspections and audits of site personnel to ensure proper work procedures.
Receive and review customer complaints regarding collection programs.
Formulate short-term and long-term goals and action plans with the Operations Manager.
Participate in regular P&L reviews to ensure budgets for labor and material costs are met.
Oversee complex compliance programs, including environmental, DOT, OSHA, and local permitting.
