Requirements

  • Two or more years of experience covering all aspects of utility operation.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of laws and regulations that apply to various governing agencies.
  • Thorough knowledge of water and wastewater system operations, as applicable.
  • Valid Washington driver’s license.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day operations in areas designated by Washington Operations Manager.
  • Manage operations team(s) and coordinate completion of work daily.
  • Schedule and oversee daily work by field operators and technicians to fulfill the operational drinking water requirements and task/project requests.
  • Develop and manage operations team, develop staff to effectively provide services, to complete training, and to gain certifications in accordance with company policy.
  • Ensure compliance sampling requirements are met.
  • Ensure all operating manuals are up to date, including but not limited to O&M manuals, Emergency Response Plans, and site sampling plans.
  • Ensure all compliance violations are properly communicated and resolved.
  • Dispatch and monitor after hours emergency responses. Coordinate staff, equipment, and other resources to address all emergencies as expediently as possible.
  • Support the management of client communications.
  • Maintain current knowledge and understanding in order to ensure strict compliance with all federal and state rules and regulations.
  • Conduct scheduled employee staffing performance evaluations within Company guidelines.
  • Comply with all Company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
  • Comply with Company grooming and uniform policy.
  • Complete tasks as requested by the Washington Operations Manager.
