About The Position

ASSA ABLOY is looking to add an Operations Supervisor to our Kent, Washington Service Center or regional manufacturing and distribution facility. This role offers the opportunity to serve as the second-in-command, directly impacting daily operations, team performance, and customer satisfaction. This is a hands-on, floor-visible leadership role in a fast-paced, small regional manufacturing and distribution facility.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED
• 4+ years of leadership experience in operations, manufacturing, or distribution
• Proven ability to lead teams and drive results through others
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Nice To Haves

• Experience in doors, frames, or hardware
• Experience in shipping, welding, or light manufacturing
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and process improvement
• Familiarity with inventory management, production scheduling, and ERP systems
• General understanding of the commercial construction industry

Responsibilities

• Lead team members across light manufacturing, customer service, and distribution within a small, highly collaborative service center, acting as the second-in-command and a key partner to the Service Center Manager / General Manager.
• Lead, coach, and develop team members, including scheduling, training, and performance management.
• Hire, onboard, and manage employee performance, including counseling and discipline as needed.
• Ensure accurate, efficient order fulfillment with a focus on on-time delivery.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including Lean, Kaizen, and process optimization.
• Monitor operational performance and address trends, gaps, and opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with safety (OSHA), quality, and company standards, including cost control and inventory management.
• Partner with Customer Service and leadership to ensure smooth order flow from entry through shipment.
• Support execution of operational strategies to meet or exceed site goals.
• Build a collaborative, high-performance work environment.
• Assure compliance with federal, state, local and corporate governance policies, regulations and laws, AADG programs and policies and the ASSA ABLOY Code of Conduct.
