About The Position

This role is responsible for planning, coordinating work, training, motivating, monitoring, and evaluating the performance of team members. The supervisor ensures team members can safely operate material handling equipment to move materials. Key responsibilities include monitoring and measuring team member performance for accuracy, documenting daily production metrics, identifying and eliminating safety and housekeeping hazards to minimize workplace accidents, and ensuring employee compliance with processes, work instructions, standard work, and work elements. The supervisor will also liaise with the materials department to ensure on-time receipt and shipment of materials, and perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

HS Diploma/GED required
Experience supervising in an Automotive, Manufacturing, or Supply Chain/Logistics facility.
Strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
Quality systems knowledge - to a reasonable level be able to monitor staff performance and costs within the department (including, but not limited to: time-keeping, quality, productivity, etc.)

Nice To Haves

Experience and or training regarding the Occupational Health & Safety, 5S, Lean Methodologies preferred.

Responsibilities
