About The Position

The Operations Supervisor is responsible for planning, prioritizing, scheduling, and delegating daily operational activities to ensure productivity, quality, customer service, and performance goals are achieved while maintaining cost-effective operations and compliance with company policies and procedures. This role involves monitoring operational workflows, staffing levels, equipment, and resource availability to ensure efficient execution of work and timely completion of operational objectives. The supervisor will coordinate with internal departments and stakeholders to address resource needs, resolve operational issues, and adjust schedules or priorities as business demands require. Additionally, the position entails providing direct supervision, coaching, and leadership to employees, including training, development, performance management, employee engagement, and career growth initiatives. A key aspect of the role is promoting and enforcing workplace safety programs and compliance requirements, conducting safety observations and investigations, addressing hazards, and ensuring employees follow established safety policies and procedures. The supervisor will also conduct employee performance evaluations, performance improvement discussions, disciplinary actions, and attendance management activities. Participation in workforce planning and operational meetings, providing recommendations regarding staffing, scheduling, equipment, process improvements, and resource allocation is expected. The role involves developing, implementing, and maintaining operational policies, procedures, and best practices to improve efficiency, consistency, quality, and customer satisfaction. Analyzing operational performance metrics and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement, implementing solutions that enhance productivity, quality, safety, and overall operational effectiveness is crucial. The supervisor will serve as a resource for employees and management, resolving operational concerns, employee relations matters, customer issues, and process-related challenges. Maintaining accurate operational and personnel records, including scheduling, timekeeping, training documentation, performance records, safety documentation, and administrative reports is required. Fostering a positive and accountable work environment by promoting teamwork, communication, employee engagement, and adherence to company values and expectations is essential. The role also includes resolving work problems, assisting workers in solving work problems, maintaining departmental supplies, tools, and equipment, and ensuring the completion of all required production paperwork and records. Compliance with departmental housekeeping standards and all safety and work rules and regulations is mandatory, as is satisfying the required hours of the department.

Requirements

  • Five (5) or more years of progressively responsible leadership experience in operations, manufacturing, distribution, warehouse, logistics, or a related environment required.
  • Demonstrated success in supervising employees, managing performance, conducting coaching and disciplinary actions, promoting workplace safety, and driving operational results.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint as well as other computer/web based programs.

  • Bachelor's degree preferred but not required; equivalent combinations of education, training, and relevant experience will be considered.
