Requirements

High School Diploma, HSED, or GED
Valid Driver’s License
A minimum of five years’ experience in a distribution/construction operations trade and/or five to ten years of experience in supervision of direct reports
Ability to establish good working relationships with employees, contractors and community groups
Ability to attain a good working knowledge of union contracts

Nice To Haves

Formal engineering or gas distribution field experience
Technical training beyond high school
Strong communication and organizational skills
Microsoft Office Knowledge

Responsibilities

Supervisory tasks in Gas Operations related to construction, design, planning, and scheduling for WPS gas transmission and distribution systems
Collaborate with the contracted companies in order to achieve the best results for projects throughout their assigned area
Ensure the safety of employees, customers, and contractors during all work applications
Plan, coordinate and conduct safety meetings to communicate safety requirements, updates and training required
Manage work assignments to minimize overtime and costs while maintaining optimal customer service
Motivate and engage employees to increase efficiency, productivity, availability, safety performance and core expectations
Evaluate performance, coach, develop and conduct annual performance reviews with individual employees
Establish and maintain good working relationships with employees, contractors, and community groups
The Operations Supervisor may be rotated to other work areas/functions within Customer Operations in order to address workload demands, gain valuable experience, and to develop an understanding and appreciation for other parts of the organization
