About The Position

NOTS Logistics is a nationally recognized and rapidly growing Third-Party Logistics (3PL) provider delivering high-quality warehousing, transportation, fulfillment, and supply chain solutions. We are looking for an Operations Supervisor for our Shippensburg, PA facility. The Operations Supervisor is responsible for effectively meeting company objectives within a Distribution Center environment, with a focus on continuous improvement of operational performance as it relates to quality, productivity, and on-time delivery. This position reports to the Distribution Center Manager.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, or related field OR Associate's degree in Business, Logistics, or related field and minimum 3 years supervisory experience in a similar environment OR Minimum 5 years supervisory experience in a similar environment or Logistics/Warehousing OR Military experience equivalent
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to partner with all levels of management
  • Excellent people skills to effectively lead and empower team members
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Proven ability to achieve goals and drive performance improvements
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Working knowledge of WMS concepts and systems
  • Regularly walk warehouse floors and perform light physical labor; carry up to 60 lbs occasionally
  • Ability to adapt to varying warehouse temperatures
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends when necessary

  • Tire industry experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Oversee, train, and develop a team of flexible, multi-skilled employees in accordance with NOTS Logistics values and strategic direction.
  • Lead team to achieve daily, weekly, and monthly goals set forth by customer and NOTS Logistics management.
  • Assign duties and coordinate workloads to achieve facility goals including production, quality, and safety.
  • Maintain quality and safety standards by ensuring associates are trained on company policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Communicate with Manager regarding facility, equipment, safety, personnel, and environmental issues to determine action to resolve.
  • Enforce regulatory compliance with OSHA, DOT, and other state and local guidelines.
  • Other duties as assigned by manager.
