About The Position
This is a hands-on supervisory role on the production floor where you will be responsible for managing a shift. You will build work assignments, train and develop employees, execute leadership's direction, and ensure smooth handoffs between shifts. The role requires full accountability for a shift's results, including making hiring, coaching, and disciplinary decisions. Requirements
- 5+ years of supervisory experience, including experience making hiring and firing decisions
- 5+ years working in a manufacturing environment
- 3+ years of experience working with ERP systems
- Working knowledge of inventory management
- Ability to read a blueprint
- A track record of full people leadership — training, coaching, performance management, and holding people accountable to standards
Nice To Haves
- Experience in a Skills Development System environment
- Experience in a welding environment
- 4-year college degree
- Certified forklift driver
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a team of operation employees
- Own productivity, quality, safety, and employee outcomes for your shift
- Build training plans and coach employees toward real growth and advancement
- Bridge 2nd and 1st shift operations, including shipping, receiving, and inventory movements
- Make real hiring, coaching, and disciplinary decisions
- Ensure both shifts hand off cleanly, accurately, and on time
